I’m Maritza Buelvas. I’m a mom (yep, those are my boys up top) and a national beauty-lifestyle content producer for coveted blogs and brands in Chicago and Los Angeles. Having worked in bridal beauty for over 10 years, I began to see a void in the boudoir space and thought I could have a visual voice that women, like myself, would be magnetically drawn to. The premise was simple—develop boudoir moments centered around empowerment to make women feel beautiful, not vulnerable.

a different kind of boudoir

My aesthetic consists of The Bungalow 5— a swoon-worthy mix of natural light photography in Twilight, Sunlight, Daylight, Blushlight and Midnight. My portfolio reads like fun closet to dress your every mood. I want my clients to have options. — Maritza Buelvas

ABout babes + the bungalow

Babes and the Bungalow offers uniquely-styled, sensually modest, boudoir photography for women 21 years and older. Capture confidence and adoration through my fairytale lens.

About the experience

I've set up a cozy little studio to envelope your spirit, and capture your femininity to celebrate this most special time in your life—the here and now.

Whether you're a mom, a bride-to-be, or a beauty in her 20s, 30s, 40s and beyond—You'll consider my little bungalow the perfect escape from the day-to-day. Here, there are no judgments, errands, or anything that ever feels uncomfortable—just the right to feel beautiful in your own skin.

This isn't your typical boudoir shoot. I call them intimates you wouldn't be ashamed to show to your grandma. Let's make it a date. PJ's welcome.

I’m the right photographer for you if you like…

  1. Being surrounded by a fun-loving personality.

  2. A fresh perspective on boudoir.

  3. Timeless glamour and yummy neutrals.

  4. A wardrobe portfolio full of options.

  5. Humor like this and this.
